TitleItalian Love Cake
Ingredients1 pkg Marble Cake Mix (and ingredients that it requires)
1 pkg Instant chocolate pudding mix
OR a couple chocolate pudding cups!
2 lbs Ricotta Cheese
3 Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla
¾ cup Sugar
1 cup milk (if using instant pudding)
8 oz Cool Whip (or other prepared “whipped cream”)
MethodPrepare cake mix according to package directions and place in greased and floured 9” x 13” cake pan. DON’T BAKE YET!

In another bowl, mix the ricotta, eggs, vanilla and sugar. Gently spread over cake batter, leaving a ½” margin around the edges.

Bake for 60 minutes at the temperature that the mix recommends.

Cool for at least 4 hours.

Now, this is where we disagree. Many would have you mix the pudding (mix & milk) and combine with the whipped topping. I prefer to spread the whipped topping, and then swirl in the chocolate… marbled, like the cake itself.

Refrigerate overnight before serving.
