Title 4 meals from one Turkey 
Preparation time 15 minutes + 20 min per pound 
Ingredients Roast Turkey:
1 whole turkey
garlic salt
Turkey Salad:
leftover cooked turkey
garlic powder (to taste)
Slivered almonds (optional)
Turkey Soup:
Carcass from roast turkey
2 onions roughly chopped (preferably quartered)
1 pound carrots
1 pound potatoes
1/2 pound parsnips
1 bunch celery
garlic powder and garlic salt to taste

Method Roast Turkey:
Whole turkey - cleaned and washed
season with garlic salt and nutmeg on outside and inside of bird to taste
Roast at 375 for 20 minutes per pound on a rack in the middle of the oven
Turkey Sandwiches:
Serve leftover sliced turkey breast as sandwiches
Turkey Salad:
Cut turkey into bite size pieces. Add celery, onion, craisins to chicken. Season with garlic salt and garlic powder. Add optional ingredients, if they are added, and mayo until "wet" (should look very wet since ingredients will absorb some of the mayo). Mix thoroughly. Chill at least 1 hour before serving.
Turkey Soup:
Add all ingredients into large stock pot and cover with water. Bring to boil and simmer for several hours. Remove bones from soup. Wild rice can also be added. If you are adding wild rice - add 1 cup of wild rice and bring back to boil and simmer until wild rice is tender. Serve with egg noodles.

Credit This whole concept comes from my Mom, who was a child of the depression and taught me to utilize everything and STRETCH to make something out of nothing. I do this every Thanksgiving and my whole family looks forward to the soup and turkey salad and actually waits around Thanksgiving night to take some home!
