TitleAunt Pat's Texas Sheet Cake
Ingredients2 sticks butter
1 cup water
4 Tbsp cocoa powder
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup sour cream

Frosting:
1 stick butter
4 Tbsp cocoa powder
6 Tblsp milk
1 lb confectionary sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
MethodBring 2 sticks butter, water, 4Tbsp cocoa to a boil. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Bake in an ungreased jelly roll pan (baking sheet with sides) at 350 F for 25 minutes.

Meanwhile, bring 1 stick butter, 4 Tbsp cocoa and milk to a boil. Remove from heat and add confectionery sugar, vanilla, and nuts, if using. Spread over cake as soon as it comes out of the oven.
