Meat and Football – a match made in Heaven!
Rachael made this for New Years’ Eve – but I think it’s perfect for a Super Bowl Party! I mean, how can you go wrong with Roasted Meats? Beef tenderloin, Pork loin, and Boneless Turkey breast… It’s still a week away (February 5th), so get planning! And they can pretty much cook together during the same time frame! Following her guidelines you can have sandwich meat galore, with all the fixin’s. Homemade horseradish sauce for the beef, sage flavored applesauce for the pork – and a Caesar salad style spread for the turkey. Add some lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, mustards – you get the idea – and some hearty bread, crusty rolls, baguettes… This party practically makes itself. And more importantly, your guests can serve themselves. This is one time when an electric carving knife (or two or three) would be the perfect tool. After resting (yourself and the meat), make the first few slices of each roast, set them out on your buffet table (cutting boards, please), add your garnishes and away we go. Rach says that this serves 12-15 – have your guests bring some salads and chips/dips (and personally, I’d suggest BYOB)… you could probably feed an army! Your guests will love you, no one will go hungry, that’s for sure – and any leftovers will be much more enjoyable than stale pizza wink
