Exactly!
In case you need one more thing to do this week...
How about this?

And BTW - yes, this is one we made! Here's the first shot, uncropped...
Happy Thanksgiving!

I had a rough day today...
So don't get me started!
About as political as I'll get here...
No, I haven't forgotten...
Sorta self explanatory... Fill a plastic/latex glove (without any additives like talc, please) with water, seal, then freeze.
Peel the glove away, and float in either a cranberry or tomato juice based punch?
OR, for the ADULTS ONLY (recipe AND site):
Brain Cocktail (from Voluptuous Vixens)
Things you'll need:
1-1/2 oz. peach schnapps
1-1/2 oz. Baileys Irish cream
Dash of grenadine
Pour peach schnapps into a glass. Slowly add the Baileys Irish cream. Top with a dash of grenadine.
Enjoy!
I do NOT condone this...
But you gotta admit it would be fun...
A little support never hurt...
Too cute!
My gal Sal made these for her grandkids, and I just had to share.
What are YOU doing for Halloween?

The newest innovation to my pickle recipe is an OVERWHELMING SUCCESS!!! Garlic flavor was there, but not enough to take over the balance, and the extra turmeric simply added a touch more color and 'earthiness'. Besides, turmeric is GOOD for you:
SO - unless and until I get any complaints, the garlic and doubling of the turmeric stays - well, 'til the next time I make another successful 'goof'?!?!
It’s my High School Reunion this weekend!
And no, I am NOT going to share which one I’m on the committee. Six months of activity – I can’t exactly call it hard work, though there have been frustrating moments… all coming down to whether or not we have good weather.
Somehow that escaped us in our early decision making – all events save the breakfast at a local diner are OUTSIDE?! Send some positive energy, will you? However, the point of my rambling is that I will be taking a few days off. So I’ll share what I made for the reunion picnic before I go:
I just HAD to make Linda Lee’s Perfect Pickles,
Two of Aunt Pat’s Texas Sheet Cakes (one with nuts, one without), and...
As a special ‘thank you’ for one in attendance, a Lemon Truffle Pie. The recipe is from a mutual friend, so it seemed appropriate…
You might notice that I tweaked it a tiny bit, though – just because I could I did the fillings the same, but used a graham cracker crust that had the addition of a touch of lemon zest and fresh ginger – the choice of lemon is obvious, and ginger is DIVINE with lemon…
See you in a few days – I’m off to reconnect, recreate, and rest? Yeah, that last one’s kinda funny…
