A quick tip from The National Confectioners Association (as seen on the “CBS Early Showâ€):
"Don’t store hard and soft candies together. To keep hard candies hard, sprinkle with finely ground sugar and store in an airtight jar."
I might add, many types of candy bars are great frozen; simply putting them in the fridge will change the color and texture of chocolate.
If you still have an overabundance, chop up similarly flavored candies and save in resealable bags (frozen) to add that special touch to your next batch of cookies or brownies, or use as topping for ice cream. Let the fun live on…
