So I’ll share what I made for the reunion picnic before I go: I just HAD to make Linda Lee’s Perfect Pickles, Two of Aunt Pat’s Texas Sheet Cakes (one with nuts, one without), and... As a special ‘thank you’ for one in attendance, a Lemon Truffle Pie. The recipe is from a mutual friend, so it seemed appropriate… You might notice that I tweaked it a tiny bit, though – just because I could I did the fillings the same, but used a graham cracker crust that had the addition of a touch of lemon zest and fresh ginger – the choice of lemon is obvious, and ginger is DIVINE with lemon… See you in a few days – I’m off to reconnect, recreate, and rest?
