How to turn a sale into Quick Meals
We often find something relatively cheap, and buy a bunch of it. I don’t know about you, but I usually cook what I want that day or the next, then just shove the rest in the freezer, well wrapped of course, but pretty much ‘as is’.

This method does not work. I should know better, but I can’t open either freezer without something falling out wink. Can you? From Lucinda Scala and Martha, here’s a great idea next time you see a bargain on pork chops, or chicken fillets. Spend maybe an hour the day you bring them home. Pound them thin, get them flavored and breaded – and then FREEZE them THAT way! I can’t believe the printed version doesn’t show the most important tip, but here it is: 'Layer pork chops between sheets of freezer paper and transfer to two 1-gallon freezer bags. Press out air, seal bags, and freeze flat. Store in the freezer, up to 6 weeks.' The BEST part is you come home from work a few days later. You turn on the broiler, with a pan inside that gets preheated as well. You put on some water to boil for pasta or rice, prep your veggies – by the time the broiler is heated, it takes less than 15 minutes more. And dinner is DONE. To summarize: you’ve saved money, space in your freezer, and prep time for a great dinner - or two. Have I missed anything?
