Mini Snack Pies
In a matter of minutes, you can make your own snack sized fruit-filled pies – all by yourself! There is a brand name that I’m dying to mention – but you will soon figure it out for yourself…

Using prepared pie dough, you roll it out a bit, slice into sections, fill with your favorite fruit (or even vegetable, like pumpkin or sweet potato) jams or fillings and then just bake for a few minutes! If you only make one batch of Pies on Sticks you might spend a little more than that brand name item. If you make several batches, you will not only save, you will want to do it over and over! Inserting the Popsicle sticks is a kewl idea, but not mandatory. If you want to freeze some and toast later, I would suggest cooking for a slightly shorter time. To make a drizzle frosting - which some kids will insist on - simply mix some confectionery sugar with milk – or even water… You can flavor if you’d like – vanilla is never a bad bet. Place in a sealable bag, and cut a tiny bit of a corner off. Warm hands can first “massage” once refrigerated and then squeeze to adorn their mini-pies. A sweet treat that you can make, and control all of the ingredients. Not bad!
